Semester Post
That right! Semester One finished! Its Christmas! This semester was great with Mr.Buxton!
My past couple of projects.
1. My Persuasive animoto on maids!
2. My Patriot Animoto!
3.My Winner Patrick Henry Speech
Goal Review:
1. Doing good, I am critiquing, and keeping up my book club.
2. I have definitely finished that goal. Now, I never shout out, and make good choices.
3. I have completed my chart, and now I don't get so frustrated.
4. My desk is not completely clean, but clean.
I think I have really thought about these goals, and improved them.
Awards: Student, and blogger of the week.
Homework turn-in. The only thing I failed at turning in before the deadline, was a persuasive essay. Everything else was turned in at the right time.
Achievements: Winning the Patrick Henry. Student of the week. Blogger of the week. 3rd in the first
quarters competition. Math, RLA, and Social Studies tests complete. Good thinking. Good report card. Showing leadership in group projects. Winning three Sammy Snakes. Doing great in book club.
Compassion: I once gave away my weekly plus points. Also, during the Subway party, I gave my Snapple to someone that did not have one. Also, I gave away my only cookie. One remarkable thing that I did was buy a shirt for Scott, and made a speech.
Friendship: Right now, my really good friends are: Zachary, Eric, Zach, Avery, Tuscan, and Ben. I think that I am a good and compassionate friend to others.
Classes: In RLA, we have recently done historical fiction, prepositional phrases, and persuasive writing. In math, we have done fractions. In science, mixtures and solutions. In social studies, slavery.

Have a great Christmas/Hannuka. And a happy New Year!

"... Give me liberty or give me DEATH!..."
Patrick gave a very famous speech on March 23, 1775. He wanted war against the British. We were set an assignment to memorize certain parts of it. I have already memorized it, and it is due Monday!
Yay!

The Santa Claus Meet
This weekend, was the Santa Claus Meet, and Fighting Fish got second, under Shanghai American School. (SAS) I did well. On almost all my events, I got Personal Bests ( New Best Times) for my races. Although I did not win any races, I got close to first. The meet was two days long. I hung out with my friends in a secret hideout, and no one knows where it is. My dad is the announcer, so I get special stuff.

This Weekend
As you know, Thursday is Thanksgiving. I am going to my friends house, that's where my family goes every year. The food is great there. Also, on Friday, is a Fighting Fish pizza party. My friends that live in Woodlands and I, are going to meet at the pizza party, and go back to their house, and have a sleepover! On Saturday, and Sunday, is the Santa Claus Meet. The biggest meet of the year; that we host.
Weekly Post
This week was only a three day week, but I still decided to make a weekly post. I think I did great this week, I was focused everyday.
In social studies, we had a vocabulary test, and it went fine. The test were vocabulary for the topic: facing slavery. We also did a worksheet on facing slavery.
In science with Mrs.Clayton, we are learning about atoms and molecules, and forming them. We also had home learning for science, which is unusual.
We finished up unit 5 fractions this week, and on Wednesday, we did an open response. I got the REALLY HARD PART CORRECT! I did well on it. I also am working hard on IXL, and I have mastered at least five skills this week. Also, I have done 9 hours, 45 minutes.
In RLA, we started learning about prepositions, and continued on historical fiction. Also, we have a puppet skit project, containing a persuasive speech. Zach, Breann, Riya, and I are doing ours about racism. Another thing that we learned is higher order thinking on characters.
Mr.Buxton is doing an experiment; he isn't going to put h/w on the blog for three weeks.
Weekly Reading
This week I got a pizza slice for realistic fiction, the book was called: The Recruit. I am reading: The Compound, The Graveyard Book, I Am David, JFK, Class A, and Cabin Fever. I am on the second page of my reading log. Also, on Wednesday, i got two plus points, because Mr.Buxton asked me to read a section of our read-aloud book: When My Name Was Keoko.
Thank you.
